Bmw jacking pucks
Does anyone that installed the BMW jacking pucks know how to take them off. I want to remove mine but unsure how to do it.

Well two reasons first one is that I exchanged my floor jack because it was leaking fluid and the new jack I received doesn't fit under it, and second im thinking of doing the Z06 widebody with the ZR1 side skirts and I don't believe they will fit with them on.

OK...dumb question because I don't have jacking pucks...
I just assumed you inserted/removed them each time you lift your car. So you can install them and just leave them in? They fit that securely?

Yes they fit that securely, I put mine in three years ago and they are still there. As I recall you just push them in untill the tapered tabs lock in. I just need to get them off now. Its just good to know they are always on and when you take it into a shop that doesn't bother to look and screw up your rocker.

If I'm not mistsaken; I believe you should turn the pucks 90 degrees and they should come out easily. I have the round one that I leave in
all the time as well. Seems like I remember pushing them in upward and them turning them to lock them in.

A friend gave me one of these awhile back for track tire changes. I punched out the locking gut's and cut the tab's, as it's just for temporary use. Judging from the way these are made, I'd say drilling out the center and some hammer persuasion for removal is your best bet. Good luck.

Depends on the type you have if I remember correctly. The round ones just snap in, should be able to pry them out with a screwdriver with little force. The rectangular ones have a pin in the middle which you will need to pull out to take the pressure off the locking tabs then pry out. Search for picts to see how they look before install, it will help decide how they need to come out.
