Default sagging door?

Anyone have trouble with doors sagging?

My driver's door sagged just a bit and before i realized that it made a very small chip in the paint. Off to the shop it goes...ASAP. Just curious though, if this happens to others?

did you buy the car new?

I didn't have any problem with mine, actually the door fitment is amazingly aligned (I always check ever since my Z28 which had doors that were slightly off), I'd be surprised to hear that this is a common problem, I think if it's aligned when new it would stay that way...

good luck!

I have never heard this, I have had 2 C6's. Did you buy new? Maybe the previous owner had too many friends looking & leaning?

If it is still under warranty, take it back and have re-aligned.

Even if you got the car in perfect condition at time of pick-up. The door can still sag over time. Such as the cases with Camaro/Firebird line. The doors are long and heavy, the mounting hardware becomes loose and need to get re-aligned.

I had the issue on my Vette. Dealer had to replace both hinges on driver's door.

No issue. Take it to the dealer and have them take care of it.

First I've heard of this on any Corvette newer than about a 1970....seems odd that would happen to you. Good luck getting it repaired and let us know how it goes and what they say.

I have this issue too, is there a kit to replace the bushings in the door hinge? I do not have this issue with the passenge door but I only use that side a fraction of the time I use the driver's door. I would rather not pay dealer prices for some kid that has never worked on a corvette before to take care of my baby.

I have a variation of this. My driver door make a slight clunk when I open it at about the 3/4 position. it is'11 with 3k, I'm thinking it's about a three trip to the dealer before they say it is Normal. Is it me, too particular?

I have a 2011 c6 base. Bought brand new almost a year ago. My drivers door is sagging a bit and doesnt close cleanly anymore. I'm taking it to the dealer at the end of the month to have it looked at.

The only time I have ever heard/seen of a car door sagging- it means either the screws have backed out of the hinge that connects it to the frame or the hinge pins are broken. Usually the top pin breaks.

I'm a bit late responding to this stream, but has anyone with the sagging door issue also had issue with the window not fitting in the channel correctly? I know its not the indexing issue, but the widow does seem to fit the clear door a lot better than the solid roof.
