Where in the heck would they put the batteries, assuming a similar body style as a C6?

I would have to say no. In my opinion, a car like that is not anything near the Corvette's target audience. That doesn't mean such a car isn't a good idea, or wouldn't sell - only that it's not a Corvette.

Only if it came with a recording of a real motor that would play everytime you put your foot into it...

I don't think so. Maybe in a regular daily driver type car, but not in my Vette. I have to have some semblance of American muscle and sound.
This reminds me. At WalMart yesterday I saw a Hot Wheels version of the Prius. I ask you, WHY?

Of course not! That's not my idea of American muscle.

Sure, why not if its' fast and can handle-there would have to be a sound track though
.
Still, there is a lot on the table with respect to a gasser V8. I can see a lightweight vette with a 4.2 Liter V8 with direct injection, fully electric steering, dry sump, ceramic bearings, an ultra slick body with a smooth underpan, low rolling resistance tires, and CV trannie.
The future is bright boys, the Illuminati isn't involved, Dr Doom and Bloefield were not sighted or otherwise involved in this thread!

Yep if it met Prius-like parameters.
City mileage higher than highway.
Reliable.
Lemme see, we already get 30 mpg highway and go 190 mph with our Corvettes.
Why not 35 mpg city and 190 mph.
And the prius system might take care of all those dead batteries that C6's always seem to get.
Back to reality. Governments can legislate and mandate, and business can research and build, but they have no control over the laws of physics.
Wonder how much the Corvette would have to cost to meet those parameters?
