Well it all depends how serious you want to get. A few guys, myself included, run the Toyo R888's. Its a full compitition tire. I run 265/35/18 and 305/30/19 on the stock rims. This is one of the very few tires that will allow a stock c6 to out perform a Z06 (with stock rubber) around the corners. Yes you will pull more G's.

What don't you like about the INVOs? I'm thinking about buying some and want all opinions.

Yeah DOT legal. Something like 6/32 tread. They will work in rain, but they are a dry weather tire. Also they have max traction once heated up, but even when there cold they far out perform any non-compitition tire, like PS2's, BFG, or INVO. Nothing like slamming the brakes 100% down at 90mph, and feeling your eyeballs pop out a little.

The PS2s come in stock sizes, runflat or non run flats, I'd go non runflat, it'll shave a few pound off of rolling resistance, and I'd wager for forward bite, they'd either tie or better the R888s, especially on the street. If you just don't sit and burnout , they'll last pretty good, I'd wager 10-15K miles or more, depending on use. I've had my set on for about 7K miles and they have still 75% tread left or more. I've heard, though, once you get to the "wear bars", traction is all but gone, but that's to be expected in almost any tire.

Your probably right about straight line traction being close between the PS2 and the R888. The PS2 is a very high end tire. So is the R888. The R888 should have more straight line traction if you were to heat them up with a burn out, do to the softer compound. But that being said the R888 is a very stiff side wall tire that was meant for aggressive driving and cornering, thats were is seperates itself from the other tires. Agian its a compitition tire, most guys run these on track cars in sanctioned racing, and the PS2 is a ultra high performance road tire, not compitition. Most guys are lucky to get 10k miles out of the R888's BTW.

The Invos have a very soft sidewall and it really affected the turn-in where you can literaly feel the sidewall really flexing and I dont even track my car. These Invos are notorious for having this problem, just google it and you'll see numerous complaints in many car forums. Other than the sidewall problems, there tires are fine. I went from the super-stiff-sidewall on the F1 supercars to these mushy sidewalls Invo and boy, it really changed the turning confidence and capabilities in my Z51, and that is the reason why I got this options in the first place.

I currently have the GY runflats but I will replace them with the Firestone wide oval runflats when the GY's wear out.
