Convertible top down/up-P.A.L. install
Got my new harness today from Ray. His work is outstanding and a credit to this forum. I was just about to break open my shop manual(s) and then thought that I might ask anyway. I have a '08 3LT. When I lower the auto top to the halfway point and turn off the engine/ disconnect the battery to complete install, will this confuse the D.I.C. or any other system(s) from returning the top to it's full upright or full down position when I reconnect/restart? Is there an indexing issue like the windows? Did a search. Sorry if I missed this somewhere. In the meantime, I will begin flipping pages in the shop manual(s)...

When you disconnect the battery, the windows will need to be indexed before the top will operate, but after they are done, the top will come back into line no problem. What does the top have to do with a PAL install?

PALwill be located behind waterfall. Waterfall must be removed to access XM module. Top of waterfall is the convertible top boot which must remain in the up position to access attaching screws, etc. Thanks

Gotcha! Prop the tonneau cover up with something as it can fall unexpectedly after it has been open for a while. Same applies to the top itself...can be dangerous if not expected.

When I added an AUX INPUT cable through the XM connector on my 08 'vert, I just released the top-up/top-down switch when the lid was still fully opened, turned off the ignition and proceeded to remove the waterfall. 'didn't bother to disconnect the battery either.
