Congrats! It's true you will be paying in taxes at a fraction of what the GS is really worth.
Been there, would do it again! I won the first build your own Z06 back in September of '05.
Took Museum Delivery January 11, 2006. After it's built, the factory usually keeps it for a two week quality control check. Then it goes to the Museum for a PDI. You pick a time for the delivery. Then you meet the Museum personnel outside the Museum for a short trip over to the plant for a tour (I guess if the plant is closed there won't be a tour). Then they bring you back to the Museum, they take you immediately into the back office where you make out the check for 25% of the value that the Museum places on it (I believe it's Manufacturer's invoice. Mine was $64K against a sticker of $72.5K), then they bring you to your car and explain how it works. Then they bring you into another office where they give you the manuals, try to sell you Museum apparel, give you a wooden winner's plaque and you watch your vette being driven outside.
You get into your new vette and drive off.
Oh yeah almost forgot. Since it's a win, you don't have a dealer to get a temp tag. The Museum is not a dealer (AFAIK) and they use a chevy dealer up the road (I forget it's name) to get the temp tag for you.
Above All, it's an Awesome experience! You will enjoy it!

Another suggestion that you get a CONVERTIBLE Grand Sport, particularly with the Florida winter coming up - perfect convertible weather. I RARELY drive mine with the top up, and it is SO EASY to go topless or top up with the vert, compared to the hassle of the roof on the coupe.
