Great nostalgia posters. Chevy definitely hit its stride with the intro of rhe small block V8 and the1955-57 series of cars and Vettes. Originally many didn't like the '58's with 4 headlights and soft rounded body lines. The Vette was considered overchromed, especially with the trunk stripes. The 1959 cars weren't much better with the weird wings at the back and the bubble-top coupes. Even the now revered '63 Vette Coupe was not readily accepted and the split back glass was considered a rear vision blocker, but all that's been forgotten about over the years.

As for the Pontiac and the Cadillacs, I seriously doubt anyone will be yearning for those 30-40 years from now.

Lets hope not, but you never know. The G8 GXP is a rare beast and will soon be gone forever, i would assume that will be a collectors car. The CTS-V is just plain awesome, if i needed 4 doors that is the way i would go.

unfortunately, at the rate things are going, 30-40 years from now people may be looking at your 02 Suburban as a work of art saying "they sure dont make 'em like they used to"!

One vehicle I wish I still had was my '89 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (the one with the fake woody sides). I kept it for 11 years until it didn't make any sense to keep throwing money into it. I saw one in Florida this year at an exotic car dealer who was selling refurbished ones for a sticker of $89,000. I guess they have become classics already, and he said there is active demand for these cars in good condition.
