Default Who uses the targa option

I am strongly considering a c6 for my next car. I really want a coupe instead of a z primarily because of the targa option. Curious as to how many people felt the same and end up not even using the targa? I see many people in convertibles driving down the road on nice days with the top up and just wonder if I would end up the same way with the targa. Thanks!

The removable top is a great option when the weather is nice, so how often I use it depends on the weather. Here there are just a couple of months a year where you don't need A/C and/or it is not raining. I love having the choice.

I have the dual tops. Switch them during different times of the year (Clear Top-fall/winter/spring Solid Top-summer). Take them off frequently..........

I use it all the time, it was my main reason in purchasing a Coupe.

One of the same reasons I chose a non-Z.

Sometimes I regret it but I haven't owned it very long and I need to start modding and I am sure I'll feel better.

But I do remove my roof often.

After three years I still remove the top every chance I get. Just doesn't feel right with it on.

I have the dual tops also…not something I would order, but they came with the car.

My C6 is black and both tops look/are black so there’s no point in using both. I just use the transparent one… rarely gets that hot in the Northeast. I do however remove it often; it’s a great feature to have if you don’t want a vert.

I also have the dual tops, but the painted one hasn't been back on the car since I brought it home. I think the transparent one looks better with the white and its lighter also which makes it easier to remove.

Once you learn the trick to getting the top on and off it takes probably 30 seconds to do. I do it anytime its nice out - just one thing to note, the transparent top does get hot in the sun so you should get some microfiber or something to protect your hands (something I haven't even done yet, but I know I should)

I just got my first one in June, and I have the top off every chance I get. Extremely easy to do and definitely a one-man job.

Had a T-top '69 and a T-top Z28 years ago and only took the tops off a couple of times. So when I had my C5 for nearly eleven years the top never came off, not even once. Made getting the 09Z06 an easy decision.

The wife and I prefer the lines of the targa to the vert...when I mentioned the upgrade to a Z06 I had her sold until she found out that there was not a targa option..

I've only taken the roof off a few times but it's very easy to do.

Also, I can't take it off if we're on an extended cruise with luggage, there is no room for the top in the rear. The Verts also have an issue with space with the top down if they're traveling.
