Default Carlisle today

I have NEVER seen so many beautiful Corvettes in one place! Wow! There were several thousand. Go to Carlisle if you want to smile a lot (in addition to smilin' when you drive your car). What a car! What a country!

I'll bet the car washes cashed in BIG time!! Sounds like fun, but less so in that much rain!

First time to Carlisle and it was definitely worth the trip. The weather wasn't too bad. Like someone said, a few showers around lunch but the downpours didn't last long. We were on the midway then so we just hoped from vendor tent to vendor tent. After the sun came out and started getting warm but it wasn't bad.

And both times we rolled past the Shetz the car wash had a vette going through it.

Every vette nut should do Corvettes at Carlisle at least once. It's not to be missed.

The truth of the matter is there really was not that much rain. The sun came out on Saturday afternoon.
Its all a matter of perspective. I had a great time.

SU8PACK ***

The best part about that pic is, if u just exit that gate, you can get the best food from people who own that corner house and make a killing and have great food. They don't rape u like inside the fairgrounds

If the weather forecast would have been nicer and the economy was in perfect shape you would have seen a lot more Vettes...

In prior years all parking spots would have been taken.
I didn't see as many vendors this year either...

Default Saturday

A few sprinkles cleared by noonish. The sun came out. The crowds were good. As to Nobama (sp?) affecting the thing...We didn't see one Nobama sticker on any car nor did we see any Prius's parked there. It was a great time. Go next year if you can. If was worth the 1 1/2 hour drive we had. And we got to drive there in our Corvette. What's not to like? What a car! What a country!
