How long did your factory Battery Last?
It appears my battery has decided to check out on me.... One month short of two years old... Is that consistant with others experience? I realize that this is a pretty broad question as there are lots of factors that will toast a battery... I wonder if there is more parasitic loads on this car as I think my Tahoe(02 model) lasted over 3 years and My wifes G35(07 model) lasted like 3 years too..
I think the plates in these new batteries are el'crap-o anymore anyway! As MFG's comply with more regulations from various tree hugger types... You'd like to think time brings improvements but we all see where sometimes it goes the other direction!

Is there any sign that you will need to replace the battery soon or does it just die on you one morning? My battery is about 3.5 years old now and is still strong but not sure how much longer it will last. Just would like some warning before it dies.

3 years and 2 months on my 06 coupe with 24K miles on it. No problems yet.
It does get driven at 70-75 mph, twice a week, for about 60 miles.

ive had my vette 1.5 years (17K miles), granted I took the battery out and replaced with a lightweight 11# braille battery.
The battery out of my Z, i rigged up to work in my S10... been working flawlessly for quite a while. (and saved me from having to waste 75 dollars on a new battery)

I got 3+ years of faultless service from my OEM battery on my 2005 MN6. I've never used a battery tender; I live in the high heat of Arizona; the dealership once totally discharged the battery; and, I've often left the car sitting idle for weeks at a time and I've never had a starting problem. When my battery finally went it did jump start easily but I figured it was best to replace it. I'm not a fan of Optima batteries so I replaced it with a top quality conventional batter. 3-4 years is a typical battery life for all my cars.

Keeping an eye on mine, original battery.... 2005 delivered late 2004. Comtemplating changing it even though it's working fine. The battery in my 02 C5 was working perfectly fine, and after work one night I came out and it was so dead the interior lights wouldn't go on. Never had a warning.

06 Vette: purchased Nov. 05, original battery still going strong.
03 YukonXl: purchased Oct. 02, original battery still going strong.
06 Goldwing: purchased Sep. 06, original battery still going strong.
My thoughts on anything that is electrical is difinitely a hit and miss. Such as why is it that some lightbulbs need to be changed every few months and others years. Why does a fuse blow early on, and when replaced never have the fuse blow again?
I've never used a battery tender.
