Boo Hoo...I am Vetteless once again
I can't beleive it...I am Vetteless once again. I had to part with my 2008 Coupe. I live on a dirt road and dirt was getting places like sand does when on the beach naked...places it shouldn't get into...my check engine light came on and the temp guage soared....i took it to the dealer and there was so much dust in the fan it stopped moving. I figured it was best to trade it in instead of it getting ruined driving back and forth on the dirt road I live on....man do I miss it...On the upside I did get a 2010 Audi A4 Quattro with the Turbo & premium plus pkg...but it aint no Vette...I have already decided, i am gonna sell the house this spring and buy another Vette...I just can't be without one. it will be my 5th Vette and possibly my 4th new one since I began to own Vettes in 1998...being in the car business years ago, I got spoiled for new cars...I average a new one every 10 months...I guess spring will be like christmas for me again....maybe I'll get a new Z-06...it will all depend on what the house brings when I sell it and how much the next house will cost...hopefully I'll walk away with enough $$ to buy the New Vette outright....I might have to buy a pre-owned one next time...boy do I miss my Vette....sniff sniff....(tears streaming down my face)

Good luck with the Audi. They are known to be real picky also such as keeping the same amount of tread on all 4 wheels of the quattro. Hope to see you back in a Vette soon.

I'm surprised. I live down a dusty, rutted, rock-strewn, Arizona dirt road and I haven't had any major problems (even with my Lingenfelter CAI). My car can look like a sugar cookie after driving down the road. Certainly the car gets 'dusted' but I try to keep my nose pushing clean air when I drive down the road. I don't follow a large dually. It doesn't happen often but if other cars are kicking-up too much dust I'll actually shut-down and wait for the dust to settle. I clean my air filter regularly but when I do it's not really that bad.
Best of luck...I hope you get back in a Corvette soon!

I agree with you and the rest: sell the house. And good luck with getting another Vette, mountain---soon!
