Got followed by a cop today...
Going N. Bound and the cop was going S. bound, speed limit was 40, I was doing just under that, so when I pasted him, he immediately did a U turn and got behind me. Followed me for about a 1/2 mile and when I came to a stop light, he pull up beside me and said...beautiful car!
He then noticed it was a Lingenfelter and said "let's hear it"

i always thought it'd be a great if in one of these stories, the LEO was a vette guy and on the forum. that'd be really cool. I rarely meet forum people IRL.

A couple of weeks after I bought my new 08 I was driving home with my new tinted windows. It was a legal tint, dark but not too dark. I saw my buddy that is a cop on a motorcycle. I was in a 30 zone. There was 3 lanes and he was on his bike in the middle. I pulled up next to his left doing 30 and opened the NPP and gave him the pipes. He didn't look over. He sped up to 35.... so did I. He didn't look over. He sped up to 40... so did I. I gave him the pipes again and did a short pop on the gas to make the car jump. Well, that about did it. He hit the brakes and pulled behind me and lit me up. I had to pull over 3 lanes and he wooped the siren a couple of times. Okay, okay, I'm pulling over, but I waited a extra block. I stopped and he got off his bike and grabbed his nite stick. He looked pretty pissed stomping up behind me. He got to the door and looked real suprised. It was then I remembered that he didn't know I bought a new Vette and had no idea it was me. It was our friendship that kept me from getting cracked over the head. I apologized, he calmed down and we both checked out the new car. And yes, we are still very good friends.

When I first saw the thread title I thought you were going to say that this cop followed you for a couple miles and then made a right turn and was gone. The actual story is cool. Real cool of the cop to make the effort to compliment your car. You got a beautiful vette.
