Drove several when I was shopping for one.

I actually preferred the Z51 ride feel over the base, F55, and even the Z06.

Here is what I did, we purchased a base coupe, then I added the sways, and the Z51 rotors. This is not a track Vette and so we have an inbetween ride and works great for the wife, she did not like how stiff the Z51 ride was. So I am missing the shocks and springs and extra cooling. I ordered the 2.73 gears that comes with the Z51 package and with my cost for the rotors, bracktes and sways I am at less than half the package and the other money I spent on two tone interior and we were ordering the 3lt anyway. Just another option to look as you are looking at your new Vette, oh I dumped runcraps in the first 4500 miles for KDWs and much better driving on superior tires, and I did not spend any extra for GM rim options as I only like the new C6Z spiders and not a GM option on a Coupe, but I am more than happy with the used CCWs I purchased off of this forum

Good luck with your Vette purchase

And I don't want to ruin it now! I have an '09 Z51 manual coupe. Never test drove the base, didn't have to. The Z51 ride felt perfect to me, plus I liked the idea of all of the other extras in the package as well.

Everyone, without exception, that has driven my car has commented on how compliant the ride was - not what they were expecting. Half of them don't even know what Z51 means. The point is that this suspension option is completely livable. I worried for months if I ordered the right thing. If you even remotely like sport cars - and I assume you do if your Vette shopping - then you will not be disappointed.
