Use wet dryer softener sheets and the bugs and tar are history, no matter what detailer/wax you are using.

The dryer sheets seem to be pretty abrasive. Any problem with
micro scratches in the paint?

Well I have been using NXT 2.0 for a while now, I always get great results, and tons of compliments on how great the shine is.

NXT is great, but I have to tell you I tried Satin Gloss and it is even better.

I've used NXT since it first came out and have had great results with either version 1 or 2 without a lot of effort needed. Goes on and wipes off easy. Just don't use too much of it, or it can make wiping it off more of a chore. My old Cobra was black and NXT gave it the best shine. My Corvette is Monterey Red and it gives it a deep wet-look shine that always draws compliments. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the waxes mentioned here. It's just something about NXT doing a great job without a lot of effort.

'Cuz he lives in dusty dry humid Texas. I use mine every day too. It's a Texas thing.

Ok, I'll have to break up this NXT pride parade. I was on vacation and had a little time on my hands, so I decided to compare Zaino and NXT 2.0. I went through the whole process with Zaino ( wash, clay bar, rewash, z5, z2 x's 2) and it came out looking pretty good. Then I washed my wife's Ford edge with NXT (wash and wax only) and it came out amazingly. Her shine blew mine away. Her car, which is the orange color, was literally glowing in our garage. So a few days later ( I was really bored) I stripped everything off of my vette and applied the NXT. At first everything looked pretty good and went smoothly but then I took it out one night to meet up with some friends. The next day I walked out to the garage and the car was covered in dust (which never happened with the zaino). So as of now, NXT will be great for my wife's car but I'm ready to strip my car clean and try some rejex next. Also, the NXT seems to highlight any small imperfections.

I had not used Zaino on those vehicles as they are dd's, but have previously used Zaino on the '05. I'm going to do the claybar/NXT2 tonight on the '05 on preparation for the Car Craft event here in MN this weekend. Hopefully the results will be similar. My Zaino supply was running low, and the NXT was available, so thought I would try it...
My experience isn't as scientific as yours, but led to a similar conclusion.
My son's Vette is Zaino-ed, mine is NXT-2-ed. Both look terrific, but
his sheds water, dust and pollen MUCH better than mine. Washed them
both. He used a leaf blower and one towel to dry his car in 15 min.
Used same blower, but BOTH of us with towels took over
30 minutes to dry mine.

Used NXT 2.0 for two years now. Looks great, sheds water and with a 2x3 foot micro-fiber towel, takes less than 5 minutes to dry. Also use Meq. detailer and chrome polish, tire black and interior detailer. All good products.
