I had my XJ8 wheels done at Mag Masters in Santa Ana. They did a great job, the chrome looks like new and it was done over 5 years ago.

called few places and turns out it takes 2-3weeks to get chromed. so as far these business that takes yur factory wheels and exhanges them for factory chrome wheels, how reliable are they?
what should i check to see if they are truly factory wheels and also in top notch shape?

chrome wheels
I did the exchange route at Cici in Pomona. A one man shop that knows his business. He does not chrome them, someone else near Pomona does his work for him. Great deal on a trade...must be exact wheel for wheel: GM for GM, same style. I paid $600 out the door and he jacked up the car, took off the wheels one by one, dismounted them, remounted, balanced and put them back on, one at a time. Took an hour, and like I said, it was $600 TOTAL out the door...no credit cards! This was about 6 weeks ago now.

Curt chromed a set of factory new wheels from the dealer and exchanged my wheels for them. He is also a fellow Corvette owner. I highly recommend him.

It just depends upon what you are asking them to install, I've used them a couple of times for labor and their prices were fairly reasonable, I thought. You just have to call them up and ask. Good luck!

Quality was good, added 2 weeks and $190+/- per wheel to the purchase price, and with 2 coats of Rejex, they still look great a year later.

Curt @ Cici in Pomona
As others here have verified, his product is excellent. He warranties for one year also. I found no one in SoCal that could or would beat his price......if you go there, you will see why. But hey, I for one appreciate the guy that tries harder, keeps his overhead down and wants my business. He is not some smug dealer charging a big mark up. Poor bastard worked his butt off on my car...in the heat no less. Give him a try...
