Default Does this happen to you? LS2 A/C...

When I turn on the a/c sometimes the interior circulation light (yellow) doesnt come on right away... Or at all!

Other times it will just shut off! I turn it back on and its fine.

Other times theres no problem at all.

Thanks

Sounds normal to me. The automatic climate control system will decide if recirculation is needed or not depending on a number of factors.

Sounds like it's working right to me. That's the way mine works.

Yep, if it's real hot it will come on automatically.

First thing I do in any new car is turn off the automatic climate control. What a PITA that thing is. If I went A/C on or I want recirc on, I'll turn it on myself.

It's great to have a choice. But that's not what the OP asked.

Even with auto climate control turned off the recirc light will still come on and off at will.

Generally speaking on mine recirculation doesn't come on unless there is at least a 10 degree difference in the tempo setting versus actual outside temp...

Yes, but then we could have stopped after post #2 as that answered the question. Just offering my opinion, which is after all, what most of these threads and posts are about - people offering their opinions (sometimes not always 100% on topic).

I like having full control over it.

Actually I'm just the opposite. I think the system works so well that I never touch it other than adjusting the temperature. In my other vehicle I need to mess with it constantly.

Default Interesting Question

I just noticed this light not coming on right away about a week ago or so. Until reading this thread, I just figured it was some malfunction, based on the car's age (3 yrs.) Thanks for letting me know all is well!

It's normal. If you have it on "auto" the system will determine when recirc needs to be on or off........
