Default EmergencyTire Plugger/Inflator Kit 5"x4"x9" 4#11oz

Not selling anything but with all the about runflats vs non I put together my security blanket for everyday use. Here is my YouTube of the "kit"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19ZKTZCxD1M

To see how the mushroom plugger works http://www.stopngo.com/products/vide...etplugger.html

I also have a heavy duty compressor and tire plugs & a bottle of Slime in a Slime Kit that I will carry if traveling long distance but it weighs ~9# and won't fit in my C6 cubby.

There is another alternative http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFJf6TzK1rU&NR=1 Maybe this what the "new" GM will offer as OEM

Don't use the slime if you have run flats. They'll ruin the tires, and possibly the sensors.

On long trips I carry my Altima's scissors jack. A lot easier getting at the hole when raised up a bit.

At the point where I'd use the Slime, I'm only worried about getting away from where I am and to safety - but is is great to have something that will temporarily repair a good sized hole - reputed to be TPMS friendly and not the same as Fix-a-Flat as far as damage to rim/wheel & supposed to clean out easier. Hope I don't ever have to find out.

That is why I put together my small every day kit using CO2 insetead of a compressor and mushroom plugs that should be able to make a decent repair on a sizable puncture.

Don't know why I am not so worried about other car's tires that I drive. Seems to me there is a lot of anxiety about not having a spare but I have not used a spare in over 20 years and have put considerable miles on cars.

This one fits in the cubby hole and works great.

Tnaks for the great info, but I've many friends that swear by the ContiComfort Kit. But at $80 it's at the higher end of the price range.

But then if BMW includes in in the M3's maybe there's a reason.
