Default Mini Vans and Buicks wanting to race???

Is it my imagination or does pretty much everyone want to pass your Vette on the four lane or jump you off the line at the stop light??? I think it funny people in vans gunning it when thay pull next to me.

He didn't race so how is that illegal. Sitting at a stop light or being passed isn't illegal, at least not yet.

You're not new around here. You know that threads about street racing, even potential, isn't allowed. Why would you even try to argue this one?

As I said...

Seems like lots of folks on the road want the Vette owner to put on a show for them.
I got my first one last summer, and never had so many people challenge me on the road.
I just smile and sometimes nod or wave and show self control.
If you just interpret it as a compliment to your car you'll be fine.

I was at stop light and a mini van pulled up next to me and started to rev it's rubber bands. I look at the driver and she smiles. Then she revs it again. She then rolls down her window and laughingly says nice car and says her son loved how the exhaust sounded when I passed them a little ways back. Made my day.

Sounds like something my brother would do with his van.

I really think that you are stretching it here. The OP just said that everyone else drives like a complete jackass when he's in his Vette. No rules broken.

Default mini mite

The other day a PT Cruiser got his mojo on. Popped the clutch, bought some scratch and was screaming. Kind of hoped he would blow up the 4 banger or get nailed by a officer up the road. Alas, I was left with only a smile as we putzed only. Secure in the knowledge he was a tool of epic proportion.

I smile at the minivan and other obviously slow cars. I give the big yawn to everyone else, really pisses them off.

It does seem that way at times. Go figure.

This is not a recounting of a street race experience nor does it in any way encourage or promote such a dangerous and illegal activity...it merely poses a question. I don't believe this post in any way qualifies under the intent of the rule prohibiting street racing threads/posts (unless the moderators change 'legal principle' with the ease of our Administration).
