Default Roof racks

I just bought a C6 and was wondering if Thule or anyone offers roof rack that fit. I surf and would like to have some kind of rack to put a board.

As dumb as it sounds to have a roof rack i have to respect a guy who loves his car and his sport. thank god i live in canada and require a second vehicle for winter. id have a tough time putting the hockey equipment in the vert.

Dear god take the rack off when not in use.

Wasn't that roof rack custom built?

Best bet would be to take the car to a fab shop and have them design you a rack for your board. Who knows, maybe y'all can make a bunch of them and start your own company, making and selling surfboard racks for Corvettes.

Someone probably makes one or you could make one. It's your car so go for it. I saw someone who made up trailer hitch for their vette and pulled a camper. Way cool for him.

There's a dude on this forum that has one, I will try and find his post, he also has a trailer for his car.

We met when I was looking for snow chains for the vette.

I had a roof rack for my RX-7 back in 82 for my skis. I agree, take them of when not in use. With skis or a board the look is passable.

Roof racks? Snow chains? Trailers?

Just kidding by the way... we are lucky to have a Yukon XL as our work horse. I would definetly have the same issues without the extra truck. Otherwise I'd be strapping sheets of 4 X 8 plywood to the roof of the Vette.

Clear, dry mountain roads and some skiing can be a lot of fun.

You can also get a small trailer hitch that comes out between the exhaust tips, and instead of a trailer mount a basket or some type of carrier.
