Default painting rear letters

Has anyone painted the rear letters on c6....Most places are charging 60.00 or more seems expensive for just letters???

Lots of Forum members have done it. Just take your time and pick a color that goes well with the Vette's color.

did it very easy, the instructions on the forum made it easy, i showed others they can't get over how good it looks and that i did it myself.

Ok I got a problem, I attempted to paint the lettering and did a good job the only thing is I got called away and when I got back to the job the paint had dried so now I new a cure on how to get the dried paint off the car. Should I wet sand and compound, Help please.

Sorry, but you were called away from your project with wet paint outside of the letters??? Why would you walk away from that?
Try alcohol before wet sanding but DON'T LET IT DRY ANY LONGER!!

Lots of rubbing alcohol and elbow grease will remove it.

Use gasoline......it will remove the paint and not hurt the car, just don't let the gasoline dry on the car like you did the paint!! lol

DO NOT WET SAND ....unless you want to paint the bumper cover.

I think mine were around $50..... totally worth it to me... its permanent and you dont have to worry about them anymore...... the stick on's come off sometimes... and they are more expensive in some cases....

I painted mine today, it is not quite perfect when viewed up close, but I will fix that later.

I would recommend going with the decal inserts, I think I paid close to $15 for mine and installed myself. At least if you make a mistake you can just take it off.
