ZR-1 Hood on C6/Z06 YES - or - NO
I need your opinion whether you think installing the ZR-1 reproduction hood with window will give a visual difference or beauty to the C6/Z06 or not.
GM is now offering Z06 parts (i.e. 2010 GS) on LS3 cars, so why not ZR-1 parts as well!
I am not sure though how the engine will look under the window because the engine will be steep below since there is no intercooler!
Your opinions on the inquriy is highly apprecited.
Thanks.

I think even the ZR1 should do away with the window!
That said, if the engine was really made beautifully detailed and cool, then you could leave it. Looking at a plastic cover doesn't do it for me.

I would not do it, I do not think it will add anything to the looks of the C6.

This is I'm sure the designers got the idea...
It works on exotic(mid-engined) cars... But not the Corvette!!

If you had something to show, I would think it might look good. A really great chrome, CF or painted engine compartment might look good. When I did my ZR1 WB conversion, I chose a MCM hood because I did not think the window would hold up long term.
Its your car. If you like it, work it. Good luck.

Not a fan, even on the ZR1. Some exotics have this feature, but I think most of them have a really cool engine to look at. Looking at a plastic cover through a window is kind of lame. Just a gimick IMHO.

Don't like it on the ZR1 and same goes for the others.
