Default Nav Radio Question???????

I cancelled my XM Radio, will the XM buttons on the nav screen go away when XM ends??? Or is there an option to turn them off???

No they will stay there and no option that I know of to remove them.
They play a demo loop on some of the channels to get you to come back. My weather and traffic channel still worked????

If you unplug the xm module - plenty of threads where to find it depending upon model - then the xm button will go away. Takes almost a couple of minutes to unplug the module.

The button is there because the module is plugged in, not because you are subscribed...

Just curious, why do you care? If you sell the car, and the new owner wants XM, they'd have to restore the module. It seems to me that you'd have one less selling point.

You can unplug it by the module in the rear drivers side wheel well. But why does it matter? You only see the buttons if you hit the hard XM button on the side of the radio. Otherwise you will not see the touch keys.

I don't really want the xm button on the screen. I may leave it alone, I just wanted to know if there was a easy way to disable it.

Thanks

I can understand not wanting the button on the screen....but its much easier to unplug the XM module at the module, not at the radio...try it and see..

If you unplug the xm module....A representative named "Andy" will come to your home and pour curry in your coffee.

Mine is a Vert and so my module is under the incredibly cool waterfall....someone else will have to tell you how to get to your module, but believe me that its easier to unplug the module at the module than at the back of the radio. Someone above mentioned the driver's side cubbie in the back...take a look there...

I founf the module, it is located over the left rear wheel. Un-plugged it and it takes the touch button of the screen and adds the fm2 button.

thanks for the input
