Default Top Speed by Gear ??

Does anyone have the top speed by gear for the Z51? I'd like this info without actually doing the tests myself.

Thanks,

This has been posted here in the recent past. You can use one of the below converters, the trans gear ratios and figure out what your looking for.......

Wayne, looks like an error at 2000 rpm in 4th gear. If top speed in 3rd is 41 mph, I don't think top speed in 4th is going to only be 2 mph faster.

Default Rear Ratio

Are all Z 51's the same rear end ratio?
And is this chart for a Z 51? If not what rear axle ratio was used for the chart.

All manual transmission Z51s have the same rear axle ratio. The automatic Z51s may have 2.53, 2.76, or 3.15, depending on the model year.

The link that johnodrake posted will let you enter the right chart by simply clicking on the right link for the tranny & rear axle ratio you're talking about.

Wayne's chart seems to be an approximation for most manual C6 trannies.

Here is one that also takes into account tires size. You need Excel.

Glad you like it.

Here's an update with the tire size calculator built in:

Nice addition. I'll trash my old copy. I might note one correction, the Z51 manual transmission is a MZ6
