Default Tire off of eBay

Anybody here purchased a tire off of eBay? I hit something and got a gash in my Goodyear F1 Supercar and they said it can not be patched.

The car (08 z51) is out of the Goodyear warranty which sucks because now I am out $450 on a new tire if I go that route. There are a few on eBay I was looking at with mild wear...mine only had 7000 miles on them.

Check the C6 forum for sale section. May better luck with a member.

Ebay can be a crapshoot - you may get something great or ripped off (and everything in between).

Last year I purchased a tire off eBay from a tire dealer on the east coast. It was a used tire for my daughter's VW. I was happy with the price and the transaction.

My cousin bought a set of 4 new tires for his C5 Corvette a few years ago and he also got a good deal. I have had good luck both buying and selling on eBay.

I have used Craigslist lately for local selling with excellent results.

Agree, and Les's advice is much better imo. You could also try your local craigslist where at least you can go see it first.

I have purchased several tires off of Ebay. You just have to check the sellers feedback.

Feedback is the key. Check return policy also.

Ebay can be good if you do your homework and check both.
