Default April and STILL not being driven...

The calendar says April and the insurance is back on but I've yet to take the 'Vettes out of storage. Yesterday was promising but only in the low 40's meaning the tires wouldn't get any heat for spirited driving, and today as I'm typing this it is snowing again! It's been a long Winter in MN. No wonder a lot of our cars tend to be low mileage...

Wow you guys have had a tough winter that doesn't seem to want to go away. I feel for you. Hopefully it won't be long now before spring actually gets there.

Not to make you feel even worse, but it was 72 here yesterday and it's supposed to be near 80 today. But now we are having to deal with all that yellow pine pollen. There are always tradeoffs I suppose.

Yep, two to four inches of snow in the forecast for us today in central Wisconsin.

Hopefully upon our return from California later this month, perhaps, just perhaps the snow will finally be done for the winter and spring.

This past winter has been long and cruel.

I wouldn't let 40 degree temps stop me from driving but the snow is a definite 'deal-breaker.' Hang in there!

I too am waiting for the snow to clear. It has been snowing just about everyday for the past week. March was quite nice with little snow. However, not unusual for snow in April or May. It typically will melt quite fast and allow the Vette to exercise. I have had it stored for 5 months. Anxious to get it out for a test drive. Winter modifications include: Z51 Sway Bars, Ported VMax TB, and SpinFAST. As soon as the weather and roads clear I'll hit our mountain roads for a test drive!

Same here. It was in the 60's and sunny the other day...I thought we were in the clear...now they are calling for possible snow this week.

Why is it that winter comes on all the sudden but spring takes it's sweet time getting here?

Same here in the "TAX ME STATE" I have not even started the Vette since late November. Its still in the garage covered up with the battery tender on. Still too much crap on the roads here. I don't want a rock thru my windsheild. Shooting for May 1st to be on the road again.

Default Tuesday!

I am planning to take it out on Tuesday. It is supposed to warm up to the 40's that day and 50's the rest of the week. I almost took it out a couple times the last couple weeks when we had a warm and snow free day.

Went for a 300 mile drive with 10 other Vettes yesterday - was sunny and in the mid 60's.

Today, it's also sunny and supposed to be in the low 70's. Thinking a quick clean (lots of dust on a black car!) and taking advantage of the unusually nice April weather here in Oregon.

Nice weather in Oregon this time of year is pretty rare so I just HAD to.

(not to worry, it's going to be crummy next week and weekend. Gotta pay the Piper you know)
