Default Gm did it to me!

My 06 was supposed to get two free updates for the Nav System.

I phened GM today, guess what, the program ended Dec. 2008. Sorry there is nothing that anyone can do.

I phoned my dealer in Canal Winchester Ohio, they said sorry, I can see you one though.

Perhaps I now want to see them go into bankruptcy.

Not a happy camper here. I have driven GM all of my life. I do believe that there will be a change in my future. The current Vette is safe.

If you have not acted on getting your FREE NAV updates, get ready to spend $300.

You need to read the Forum more often, we had several threads going from late summer through December saying you had til December to order it for the 2006 year free updates. Sorry you mised out on it....
they really did suck about telling people. I never received a card I always had to call.

Typical business tactics. I didn't like the program much anyway because two free updates had to be at year one and year two of the car's life. In 5 years the GPS is useless around here.

You really need to call Chevy Customer Assistance. GM just got a friend of mine a disc for her Caddy SRX which she didn't even buy new!! Just call and explain...I bet they help.

So I understand...you want GM to go bankrupt...The same GM that employs thousands of people and whose supply chains affect millions because you didn't get an upgrade for a nav unit?....

Buy a road atlas lol...I'm sure you missed out on a bunch of changes. I guess you like drama.

Default Nav Updates

You don't need GM. Just Google for Corvette Nav Update or some variation. You'll find something called Torrentz.

You're welcome.

You should visit the c6 for sale parts , these discs Pop up frequently , and they are not $ 300.00 .

There are other ways to get these discs as well if you do the homework

Try using a expired coupon at a store and see what happens.

When I bought my 07 (new) they offered 2 free updates. I didn't hear anything about a time limit, and I haven't been monitoring this site that much. My Garmin's better anyway...

Sorry, but if you buy a different car because of a simple mistake on your part, then you're not really a car guy. Find a NAV disc that you like, and then buy the car that it comes with...you'll be happier

I hear the new Crown Victoria is very nice....

Makes no sense. GM should go bankrupt because you didn't request a free nav update soon enough? Sounds like it's you that wants a bailout.
