Default Finally another 10sec daily driver!

Me and my buddy Tony who has a 10.7 04 cobra, rolled out to E20 today, and a buddy of Tony's who just picked up a C6, a 2007 went and a buddy from work with an 08 GT.

Everyone thinks an auto is so easy, after 6 months without a pass I was nervous as hell.

1. Take Traction Control Off - Check
2. Put in drive and roll around water - Check
3. Put in reverse and back into water - Check
4. Put into manual auto mode and paddle shift to first - Check
5. Spin out of water - Check
6. Pump brakes and flip switch on line lock - Check
7. Hit the gas and burnout - Check
8. Release line lock and roll out of burnout - Check
9. Put into Regular D Mode - Check
10. Stage and Run - Check

LOL, anyway, my best before was an 11.94@121 mph. I would launch off idle and flare the converter for a 1.94 60'.

Today I thought i'd try stalling it up. First pass - BAAAM 1.826 60' with an 10.93@131.73

2nd Pass, I tried to launch off idle, didn't spin, but only managed a 2.44 60' car hated it, pathetic pass of 11.55. That slip is already in the garbage.

Firgured i'd go one more even though it was still a bit hotter than I wanted the motor to be. Tried stalling it up a bit more. I was rewarded with a 1.766 60' and a 10.87@131.13

I was very pleased with the car, everyone said it sounded sick and looked smooth as hell going down the track. Not bad for a car with a 2.56 gear in the back.

I'm loving the car again, Nav, DVD, Back up camera, removable roof, Leather, Heated seats, Heads up display, an Electronically controlled magnetic suspension that can ride smooth and take the bumps, or witch it to stiffen up for the corners. All that and 10 sec e.t.s

The only thing I have left to do is put a little gear in, probably going to do the 3.15, with my mph i could probably do the 3.42, but the 3.15 should wake it up a ton, It was pulling like a raped ape! The 3.15 should make it a solid mid 10 car.

anyway, here are the slips plus a vid that Tony was happy to make for me! Tony's gonna make a vid of my 10,9 run, i ran a quiet car on that one, and you can hear the car a lot better.

Great times!! Though I wonder how much faster you would be putting it in S mode instead of D mode. Are you aware that S mode will rev it much closer to redline than D mode? Also, are you aware for the A6 that putting it in paddle mode for burnouts has a tendance to make slower shifts down the track? Thus I do my burnouts in S mode only and no paddle.Though who am I to say in the 11 second club!

why would you? let the computer shift where it's set to shift, i had my dr's on which are just a tad shorter, 1-2 was at 6700, 2-3 and 3-4 at 6500 on the money

paddle shifting your guessing, and it never responds right

guy with an 07 a6 rode down with me, he ran some low 13's and a couple 12.9's, tried paddle shifting and went 13.6
