Default Whats The BEST Head Gaskets???

Whats the best head gasket to use on a 4.030 bore when using Nitrous. On a aluminum or iron block???

We always use ARP bolts or studs depending on the budget of the customer.

I posted this for a customer to see what you guys had to say.

Thanks
Mike Yeager

you need to worry more about the factory bolts than the gasket. Remember that thickness will alter your comp. ratio.

You might want to check out the C6 tech section. That would be a better place for your question.

I always used fel pro, but that was with the SBC. I have not worked on an LSx, but the C6 tech section has plenty of folks who have R&R'd heads on an LS2.

I have SCE Titans on my 91 Camaro (500+ HP), not sure if they make them for our Vettes, though. Got them from Summit Racing.

Cometic MLS in a variety of thicknesses, to fine-tune your compression ratio and get the best squish or quench for your application.

GM MLS gaskets are fine.
what size shot are we talking?

for big hits (250+), we run at least .060 bigger than the bore. This gets the lip of the gasket back away from the heat.
