That's an awesome commercial and probably typical of every young persons driving dreams(not reality)so adults and kids can relate. It's good advertizing because it stays in your mind. Oh yeah,it's good they banned it, kids will never find it on Youtube. lol... It's amazing how much time and effort goes into protecting ourselves from ourselves

Unmodified C8 of the Year 2021 Finalist
2018 C7 of Year Finalist

Default Two Facts

That commercial was on a DVD included in the special 05' C6 Brochure (the one with a black cover that felt like a C6's dash) hoarded by dealerships and given out sparingly. Besides the commercial the DVD also included a cockpit view video of a C6 run around the Nurenbergring track in Germany.

On, and that C6 was Precision RED.

They use to be found on Ebay, may well still be. I have two, with one still in the plastic packaging. Lucky me.

I have to wonder sometimes if slick marketing people are thinking of kids as future buyers, or just targeting the kid within us?

This is a great TV Commercial for the 911 Porsche where a kid dreams of the day he too can also have one.

It is a super commercial. It should be still on TV. I have it saved to my computer.
That's what I remember reading back then also.

How true....................Corvette was the car of my boyhood dreams.
However it was a C2 when I was a kid.
Now I drive a C6 and love every minute I'm in it.

There is always a "group" that forms to complain about something in this world.
We have to be politically correct with just about anything any more
I loved this ad. It was sad to see GM buckled to "special interest" groups that think they know more about our kids than we do and pulled this ad.
all this "PC" that is going around is probably scrapping some funny and pretty good ideas in the advertising world .

And yes, this commercial was and the work of a genius advertising campaign.

I think my Dream Car as a kid was a USAC Sprint, i grew up at the tracks as a kid and loved watching guys like Johnny Rutherford run at Dayton Speedway and Winchester

I just saw as the lead for a video for the last Caravan to BG which was right before the C6 came out. If people find that offensive for TV they just need to turn the TV off because anything this side of the Sprout channel would be offensive.
