how many are considering selling
I have been on the fence about selling my car lately. In these times sometimes its hard for me to justify having this car but everytime i walk into my garage and see it, its hard to imagine me not having it. I'm kind of in no mans land because one minute i want to buy mods and the next minute i think i have my mind made up on selling the car. I love the car. I have no problem with money but a little extra wouldn't hurt in these times. Is there anyone else considering getting rid of thier beloved c6? Feel free to chime in

everyone is in a different spot,,,,some up,some down. The next 6 months will be a make or break for alot of folks. could take 2-3 years for bigger markets to recover from the crash we are seeing. i wont sell mine unless i am dead and then i wont sell it either (wife might, lol)

Basically, you're screwed now and you're screwed later. When would you like to be screwed?

Here's my philosophy....Having a new vette makes me work that much harder in order to be able to pay for it. Business breeds more business if you do good work all the time. So in the long run, I actually will make more money by owning a vette. In other words, no, I have no desire to get rid of it.

Yeah, I've thought about it a lot, actually. Since my Corvette is a pleasure toy and not my daily driver, I've thought about selling it and my SUV and replacing them both with a more luxurious SUV (e.g. XC90, Touareg, Q7) or sedan (A6, S6, M45). I've also thought about just selling my Corvette and replacing it with a 2009. In the end, though, I doubt that I'll be making either move any time soon. I've had my 2005 coupe since new (I factory-ordered it). It's loaded, has only 18,000 miles on it, and is in outstanding condition inside and out. It's also paid for. I still get a lot of enjoyment from it and am simply not ready to be without it yet. As for "moving up" to a 2009, I figure it would cost me around $25 - 30K to get into a comparably-equipped coupe, more to get into a vert or Z06. I'm unable to justify those numbers for what I'd be getting. Besides, I don't want to give up my interior ambient lighting, center console lock, and under-hood light!

My first thought was did you lose your job. My guess from your post you have not. As I thought more I think you should sell it and spend the money on your home, clothes, appliances, and anything that will help the economy and put people to work. How about some home remodeling?

I am selling my 04 C5 but keeping the C6Z. 4 cars and 2 drivers are a bit much. I need room for bicycles and red wagons in the Garage.
My father in law is buying it so it is staying in the family.

No matter the economy, *life goes on*. I get much joy from driving my C6 every day, and that pleasure keeps me going, *especially* in hard times like this. Sell her? No way.

no viable replacement...
...and what would you replace it with????? Surely, if it is only a once in a while driven machine, maybe... if you need the cash. But as a daily driver, what is the replacement????
