Yet Another LS3 Dyno Sheet - Is it a freak?
Yeah, yeah, another look at my dyno sheet post. But seriously, do I have a freak? My uncorrected numbers were 404.97HP / 395.22TQ (398.91HP / 388.87TQ using STD correction factor). Granted the conditions were favorable (temp 60 F, pressure 30.19in-Hg, 51% Humidity), but that's still a lot for a stock LS3. Given a 15% loss for powertrain, that's 476HP at the flywheel. Even with 10% loss, that's still 449HP.
This is a bone stock 08/M6/NPP with 3,600 miles. The only mod is a mild to wild. It doesn't even have a tune. This was on a DynoJet 248x. Other folks at the dyno day were getting numbers that they had previously got on other Dynos. So I don't think the Dyno was out of whack.
Crazy huh? These LS3 motors are amazing.

The LS3's are just stong as hell , mine made 415 rwhp with just a little tweaking .
They really pull hard .

Did a Dyno on mine yesterday. Custom CAI and Tune, LG pros, and NPP (open). Admittedly this was a really cool (cold!) day, and the graph shows the Uncorrected numbers..Gives you an idea of what you have to look forward to with a few mods..

Why is it "a lot"for a stock LS3? This is the block chosen to power the ZR1. This is apparently one heck of an engine.
Word to the wise: A stock LS3 with NO tune and a warranty just might be "enough" hp.

Can someone explain the "CF" setting shown on the dyno sheets (upper right hand corner) STD vs. UNCORRECTED & smooting? Would that account for (+/-)10-15 hp variation between shop dyno's? Or is due to dyno calibration?
But still.....very impressive numbers!

Mine made 387.5 / 380.0 SAE correction or 398.7 / 392.26 STD correction bone stock, then with a Jeremy F. HP tune went to 413 / 405 with std correction.
Just hit 4500 miles and it keeps running even stonger
Love this car and tune makes it so much better!!!
Thanks,Dewman
