Default Pics: Caravaggio New GT Seats

I dropped by John Caravaggio's shop on Friday and got a look at his set of his new GT seats he's just about completed.

It's difficult to see, but the back and base is made of real carbon fibre, leather is top grade hides from Italy, and all hand made on site to ensure top quality control. These seats will take our drab stock interiors and turn it into an interior which you would have no reservation in opening a door to show off your interior next to any Porsche or Ferrari. And as good as they look, those built side bolsters will hold you into the seats irregardless of how far you care to challenge the G meter on the hud.

Additionally, they bolt on to the stock seat cradles, so you don't loose the stock power function.

Here are some pics.

They look awesome and should meet the needs of the people that have posted complaining about the stock seats and/or looking for replacement seats.

Man those look nice! Any idea on the cost? Even though I'm sure I can't swing the cost, it's always nice to dream.

Actually, if you look on their web site, there are a couple of different types of seats and I'm sure varying degrees of trim and finishing - - -the seats appear to run $2-3k each . . .plus trim levels, bases, and I'm sure mounting and installation could be accomplished for $5-7500 total?

Great looking and I'm sure well constructed for those that find the C6 seating inferior - - -I've got sufficient padding on my own and my early 05 seats still look like new at 24k miles - - -so, I'll save the mod money for sumthin' else.

Cool stuff - -

Very nice. I would assume no side airbags on those but for seats, it might just be worth losing them.

$2-3k per seat and they use the Vette's frame? My seats are NOT $6k uncomfortable or unsupportive. That is the cost of a lot of performance mods.

COOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!
Just one question: how about the headroom - so far I haven´t seen any aftermarket seat that doesn´t give you a higher seating position - and that´s a no-go for me!

I'm certainly guessing, but I doubt if airbags work in that seat. And I doubt if that would be easy to get in and out of for a DD or frequent-use car. That would/does seem to be good for long trips or competition driving though.

Great looking seats and nice to have the option out there for those who are always complaining about the Corvette seats. At least now we have a place to send them!!
