Any Northern Illinois Vette owners?

I live in Manhattan. Where the he** is Manhattan? I am about 5 minutes away from the RT 66 drag strip. I know you guys live pretty far north of me, but I wouldn't mind a weekend drive with a bunch of Corvette guys (or gals) or maybe going out to RT 66 or Byron. Give me the heads up in the spring!!!

Yeah. i want to get a group together for a drag day. I usually go to Great Lakes Dragway when i want to race, i dont think id have a problem going farther and getting to byron. I would be a fun drive.

Meetings are usually 7:30pm the first Thursday of each month at the Holiday Inn on Rt 31 in Crystal Lake.
There is no official meeting in January, but we're getting together for pizza at Lou Malnati's in Lakewood on Jan 22 at 7pm.
The club has more cruisers/roadtrippers than racers, but some of us enjoy the drag and autocross competition.

I'm going to be out of town for the February meeting and possibly March; you can find the exact dates on the club website. Stop in for a meeting whenever you feel like it. Just tell the greeters that you're new.
Don't be too shocked by the ages of the members, the average is probably three times your age. They ain't wild any more but they do enjoy the horses.

Looks like alot of fun!! I live south of Joliet about 5 minutes from Route 66 Speedway, so I would have a hard time attending the monthly meetings, but sure would love to go drag racing or even take a road trip with you guys! Can you keep me posted of any of your future events?

I went to autox at rt 66 and did a couple time attacks at autobahn cc, i live in VA now though...

I got a chance to go to the Autoban this summer for a Hyundai Genesis test beating! It was awesome. I can't believe there is actually a country club for auto racing! I was told to be a member you gotta lay down some big bucks (I think I heard 100,000) not to mention an annual fee- I might be wrong, but after going there I can see why!!

I don't think I was out in the Vette on Sunday though... Tuesday (3-17) is looking to be a great day anyone want to go for a drive? I'd head over to that ice cream shop at 83 and 173 if anyone else is game?
