Well, thanks for all the comments today went great so far, found a corvette only body shop in Orlando which was recommended and wow was I impressed. These guys made me feel like my car was the most important one there. I asked about the insurance company and the owner Tim Burke said don't worry corvettes are not regular cars and they don't get repaired buy regular body shops. Corvettes are special and they get special care! Then he says we've got a new ZR1 that the front fenders were damaged during shipping and the dealership has us fixing it wanna see it? Somebody hold me back from the baking room! What a sweet car in person the fender panels didn't even weigh 5 lbs, I was convinced they were the right guys to handle my baby.....

my Vette was keyed also while I was parked at a gas station. It was only 4 months old. Just made me sick. I don't know why people have to be so jealous of what we work hard to get.

I happened to catch a guy ,at walmart no less, open his door HARD into a black car. Not a vette, but someone obviously took care of it. It was a noticeable paint chipped ding when he got through with it. Broad daylight and he was just going to proceed like nothing happened.
Now it was stupid of me to confront him being a female. I couldn't help it I was so pissed and incredulous that he obviously didn't give a damn. He started giving me all kinds of excuses and I should mind my own business and "Are you a cop" all that. Luckily the owner happened to walk up, a nice big young man and he took over from there. They didn't come to fists but he put this guy in his place. Not sure if the REAL cops got involved, but he thanked me.
There's been a few times where I wished someone would have been willing to step in or at least be my eyes as a witness to some act of vandalism.

I understand what has happened. I was at the Gym one day. My Vette was parked at the far end of the lot, to stay clear of anyone getting near it. This guy with an old S10 Pickup backed in next to my car and he was 6in from my door. Unless he left out of the passengers door noway he could have gotten out. Now how do I leave, I was so pissed. What he didnt' realise is my best friend is on the Force in town. We towed the Truck in front of this Piece of S'T. Thats' what is out there.

Last year while I was waiting for my garage door to open, a black teen coming home from school commented to me that I was blocking the sidewalk and that I shouldn't keep such a nice car in that neighborhood, that before long I was going to be all keyed up. And he continued walking and laughing like an idiot.

So today I go to renew my tag like a good tax paying citizen, I'm there about an hour and this is what I come back to. I new I shouldn't have driven the vette, but I'm on vacation for gosh sakes why can't I enjoy it! Does this happen often? I've only had my car since July and this is twice once with Chapstick and now this is real body work ahead? How often does this happen to other vette owners?

Had my C3 keyed from very front side of hood to back of rear quarter about 15 years ago. Sold it and bought a C4, have a C6 now. I was so pissed, I loved that car. I know how you feel!
