Throw on some long tube headers. You'll gain 30 HP and they'll have high flow cats.

The whole point of a warranty is to keep your money silent.

When you talk about Corvette tuners, there's Chuck and there's all others. Chuck polishes your car's performance with a careful, conservative, intelligent tune. He focuses on smoothness and driveability, not ultimate neck-snapping tire-smoking quarter-mile performance. Warranty discussions abound on this forum, but thus far I haven't seen a single report -- let alone a documented one -- of a Corvette damaged by a Chuck/CoW tune in any way. He pretty much insists on a 160 degree thermostat (a modern one, not a cheapie), and he recommends installing a Vararam. I elected to go without the Vararam because it would conflict with a removable front license plate bracket.

Talk to Chuck's customers. Talk to him. Better yet, go on the web and research the use of computers to control and manage automotive engines. Be an informed customer **BEFORE** taking your car to Chuck. That should put your mind at ease.

For the record, I have a Chuck/CoW tune on my 07 A6. I love it and would never go back to the stock tune.

Nope, it is a separate option. NPP is not part of Z51 option.

Peace, out.

I have SLP catback and ordered a Vararam this past week. I,
like SFLNGE17 am thinking about a tune also (05 M6 ) what does the 160 thermostst do for performance, and how much would that cost and last but not least, the dealer has no problem with catback and intake, but would they know if a thermostat was replaced and what are the warranty implications???

the reason chevy didnt bring our vettes with 160 stats is because of emmissions so a 160 stat wont void your warranty i had already ask that at the dealer...Do your research about the tune and your gonna end up with chuck cows tune

I can't offer any advive on a catless tune but on my 08 A6 Chuck's tune made a tremendous difference in the car. Believe me, you will be very happy with his tune.

Especially if you take the Cats off, would be a chance something else has been done, and may follow up on more checks.
