I pick up my grandson quite a bit in the Vette. No problems fitting the seat in there. Just can't keep the little bugger to keep his feet off the dash. He sure loves to ride in it.

I have a forward facing baby seat with leveling-indicator.

It has a few drawbacks so all I will recommend is a quality seat strapped in properly and checked by Fire dept.

Good Luck!!

Depending on the age of the child, they'll fit quite nicely in the rear as long as you don't have the targa stored back there.

If/when I have a child I think I will have DSV cover it in leather..

Believe it or not Lambo seats have built in steel loops for a child seat.

lol rookie. That's the Latch system.

Only the Z06 with the fixed roof offers LATCH (lower anchors and tethers)

For us Convertible and Coupe fans its all about the seat belt.

I strapped my nephews car seat in mine. I have a vert, and he still talks about how he could see the sky. He also points out to my sister every time that he sees another vette. It was only a short trip maybe 10 miles round trip, but he had such a great time .

You could put some toys in the back under the hatch cover and make a regular little romper room back there.,plenty of room to crawl around.

Not true. My son love to ride in the Vette. His large Britax seat fits okay and secures with the latch system. Maybe GM discontinued it on newer models, but my '05 Coupe has the two "steel loops" ie Latches for his seat. I think it is a federal law that all vehicles after 2001 or something have the latch system...not positive there.

I also put some towels down to keep the car seat from damaging the leather too much.

Just make sure the airbag is off when Jr is riding shotgun Good luck.

Wow interesting!

I have a vert. Can someone with an 08 or 09 coupe confirm if they have Latch?

I agree with you, my seat is crushed in where the child seat was positioned.

That is a booster seat it is for when your child no longer needs the secure belts of a baby car seat and the main purpose is to get the seat belt to fit the child at the proper levels to avoid choking, shoulder injury, etc. if an accident were to happen.

It is not strapped in like a regular carseat.

Can anyone confirm 06 Z06 has a LATCH?
Why can't Corvette be a 3 seater so all of us can ride

Child seats fit just fine. Both the child seats and the booster seats (as somebody put a picture in). Coupes/verts have no latch nor any rear tether point, which is too bad. Z06 has a rear tether point, and some cars seem to have latch, and some may not.

I have a child seat in mine, will probably switch to a booster soon since she's big enough and it's so much more convenient to take out and put back in then the child seat is (tough job in the cramped confines of my garage).

Recaro is cute, but extremely pricey ($250+). Shop around, there are other very good brands, and they cost less. Search on the web, you can find reviews and safety tips.
