stuck in park HELP
The car starts but the shifter wont move.
I pulled the **** apart and physicly pushed the relase button w a screwdriver and still its locked.
Anyone have any ideas about what i can do?
I put the brake pedal on and try to shift but nothing.
The car is on a slight angle uphill and ive had cars get stuck because of the angle it was on.
Anyone have a ny input?

A member of my Vette club had the same thing happen to his 07 vert. Once he got it out of park it would not go anywhere but D N R. The dealer had to replace the shifter. Be very careful if you force it.

Solenoid stuck would be my guess in the console shifter area.

fixed
Ok heres the deal, under the metal push button, theres a white VERRY WEAK FLIMSY
PLastic seasaw piece which when you push your button,it pushes the white flimsy plastic piece, then presses on a strong small spring loaded plastic part thats inside the metal shaft of the shifter.
If youve ever driven any auto car where the shifter came off.."same thing"
The white plastic is trashed already 1700 miles and the other plastic part is VERRY HARD to push in ,so inside the cable is not properly seated or was forced out of its cradle.
OMG what a poor design and cheap parts.
Im ripping it all apart tomorrow and I will take pics so the next guy can get home when he gets stuck
Theres a TSB on this so MANY PEOPLE came in for this problem.

Mine too
We couldn't even jump start the car, not being in park messed up the starting sequence someway. Dealer also installed new battery.
No more problems after 11 months.

I bet alot of people grab the shifter and try to move before stepping on the brake.
Causing the mechanism to move alil bit each time ,until it finaly pops out of its proper alignment,
But the main problem is the flimsy little plastic piece that pushes the button down.
Its not strong enough to push the button down all the way.
So people will press button and pull shifter while alot times the mechanism isnt fully unlocked.
Im going to modify mine cause I dont have a choice.
DO THEY MAKE AFTER MARKET AUTO SHIFTERS?
