Thanks guys for all the hints and information. I have looked around at the options, and must say that the idea from Strikervette seems to be a good one for me. The protective case is a good option. I love my Vette and its better for me to get a good quality product that keeps my roof safe and out of the way tunil I want use it. I have bought a lot of accessories for the car as it is, including the spare roof..... enjoy your vettes boys! OH...and thanks Strikervette for the info on that case!
in a storage pouch similar to this one.. purchased it at GM dealer.. then put where you want.. under bed, against wall in garage.. padded and safe from scratches..
I was going to post this exact same question yesterday. I found an old guitar shipping box to put the other top I have in. I just need to find something very soft to wrap the top with, so I can place it in a box for a few months. Sorry for the thread hijack.
Does anyone know of a very soft material that will not scratch the top when it is inside of the box?
Maybe the OP can wrap up the removable top and place it in a large box for the winter? I hope my idea works for the both of us, along with anyone else with this problem.
just buy a cheap fleece blanket, costco has them for under $20

Here are some photos I took this morning of a case which I bought from a company here in Huntsville Alabama: They make roof cases for most removable top cars.
The case has wheels on 2 sides as well as handles on 3 sides and is obviously very easily stored and moved around when I neeed to. It is very strong and protects my roof 100%. If you need their contact info let me know.

Since I stared this post a few days ago, I must say I am very happy with the outcome. If you want the details of the company that makes the roof cases for the C6 Coupe, send me a message and I will send you the contact info. The company is selling out for Christmas, so if you are interested, I suggest you let me know soon and I will send you their info. (Case photo's where posted by Strikervette - check them out)
