Default So I come back to my car

After a 12 hour workday and see this:

I take the park and ride to work here in Houston and there's nothing like the feeling coming back from a long day at work to see something that you worked very hard for being violated. Only had the car since August.

Took my Escort Radar Detector and a pair of Oakley's that I had in Afghanistan (sentimental value).

Oh and get this, while I'm waiting for the cop to come do the report, two punks on bikes came up to my car and started checking out the damage. As one of them reached for the door, I yelled at them. I had my CCW with me, but yelling at those asshats to beat it was enough for them.

$500 Deductible out the door. Whoosh!!!

COuld be worst I know, Obama could be the next preside....

Oh yeah right. Nevermind.

SUMTING definately is WONG!!!

**Update on the estimate: $4992.58

The glass cut up and/or left deep scratches on the interior (exterior driver door, rear fender, drive seat, pillar, steering wheel, center console, gauge cluster screen), center console broken.

Insurance is covering everything. I'm just out my deductable.

Sorry to see that, but I don't think I know very many people that would leave a C6 parked anywhere except next to the building they were working in for 12 hours.

I've also heard that sometimes karma can be a beotch.

yeah, careful, that CCW you have along with mine and everyone else's may be in danger because of the aforementioned suckage.

Like i said many times the Vette is a magnet for kooks and nuts. Seems they go out of their way to cause damage to a Vette.

Sorry to see that. Tough break, but at least you had insurance.
Now the other thing....none of us had insurance to cover that.

The car could be parked anywhere for any length of time and something could happen. I don't quite get the karma connection...insinuating the OP somehow deserved it...it's not Earl's car.

I try to make sure to never leave anything of value in clear sight: sunglasses, phones, ipod, radar detectors - which is sad you even have to think about that.

Bummer man, but at least there wasn't anything damaged that can't be easily fixed!

I was making a general reference to EVERYONE who had brought up politics. Then, I made a specific reference to the OP's parking habits. Nice try.
