this is one reason accidents happen, turning away to fiddle with the radio, fish something out of the glovebox or what not,
keep your eyes on the road and youll keep your vette and yourself in one piece

You cant open the center console either. Anything you open - all the paper gets instantly sucked out.

I heard about this problem and experienced it first hand about 2 months ago unexpectedly. The top was off and I had two long rolls of artchitect paper in the back. They were being held down by a thick towel. Once I got up to about 60 mph, the rolls of paper hit me in the back of the head and almost flew out of the car! I quickly grabbed the papers as I unknowingly swerved toward the shoulder. It was very distracting at the least and it could be deadly at it's worst. I learned my lesson that day. Store or remove all loose paper and other airborne-able lightweight objects before driving with the top off!
Nice 55 Corvette by the way!! I have a 55 Chevy Bel Air. As you probably know, some of the Bel Air's design cues were taken from the Corvette. I'd love to own a 67 Corvette 427!
