Actually, that's a good point... I do wear gloves too when I'm out with the top off in the hot summer SUN... long sleeve cotton t-shirt and hat too... I prefer this route to using sun tan lotion... lotion only serves to become a slippery slimy mess and can eat the paint in the interior. I have light-duty "summer gloves" that do a good job of covering skin but don't get too sweaty.
Gloves were worn in the past when sports cars had skinny wooden steering wheels, helped with the grip. With todays leather covered fat steering wheels, no need unless your hands are cold.

Me too, except I don't wear them here in Florida they just sit on top of my toolbox. Last time I wore them was in Germany driving an old 850 Fiat Abarth.
