Default Funny feeling

When I parked my 2009 this morning, I felt a small electric charge on the vehicle as I closed the door. Since I'm getting older (imagining things?), I ask a friend to touch the car and he felt the same thing. Sort of feels like a tingling to your fingers. I'm thinking a short, but I didn't think fiberglass was avery good conductor. Any ideas? The problem would not duplicate on susequent trips.

Sounds like static build up to me.

I would say static build up. If its been dry air for for the last few days that is ususlly the cause of it. I get zapped good in the middle of winter on my truck.

Static electricity. A nylon plastic comb can do the same thing. Dry Winter air is the culprit.

You are probably right about the static electricity; I live in Arizona were it is usually very dry. Side thought: does anyone remember that back in the 60's it was "cool" to have "static straps" hanging from the rear of your car. Probably served a purpose, too.

I don't want to answer that one - that will show your age. Almost as bad as asking do you remember penny candy.
