Default Suggestions with NON Run Flats

I was wondering what you guys do who have changed tires and ARE NOT using Run Flats? I have a 05 Z51 with the Supercar tires (I think) wear is 220.. I drag race and have to drive app 100 miles one way to the track..

I have Mickey Thompson DR's on the rear, and bought 3 cans of "Fix a Flat" I also have a 12 volt plug in compressor but it never really worked right... 1/2 hr to get to 20 lb. on a flat..

I'm thinking of getting a tire repair kit, KEEP the 3 cans of fix a flat, and need a suggestion on a GOOD QUALITY small compressor to plug into my cig lighter if need be.....

I eventually am "THINKING" (need suggestions) on using regaler tires Not RunFlat... I'd save a lot of $$...just to replace my 19" rear RF's Tire Rack want over $500 each for $1000 I'm hoping to get 4 street tires, although I leave the MT Drag tires on most of the time they are inexpensive, & I just bought an extra set to keep in the garage (Just in Case they become back ordered) like BFG & Hoosires...

Tkx....

I use this. $79 and it is well made and easy to use. Standard OEM on a lot of high end cars.

the problem with fix-a-flat is that it ruins the TPMS senors.
You'd be better off getting a plug kit and keeping a leatherman in your car (for removing the screw / nail / what have you.

Also for tires i would suggest that you look at kumho spt's. They last forever, and I find them to be just as capable as the oem tires (1+ g of corning force)

Per the Tire Rack:

This product’s sealant may interfere with the tire pressure monitoring sensors on vehicles with direct TPMS, possibly leading to error prompts and incorrect pressure readings. Use of this product on direct TPMS vehicles could also result in damage to the tire pressure sensor inside the wheel. Please contact your sales specialist at Tire Rack for more information.

Green Slime that is sensor safe and a $20 12V air compressor from Advance Auto Parts and heavy duty soft plug kit. Cheap insurance. Fits into one of the small trunk compartments with plenty of room to spare.
