Default did my first 180 in a 2009

After reading alot of negative and positive threads on hear i was a bit scared to write that check today. After the 180 mile drive home i have no regrets. They built it on Tuesday and I drove it off the lot today.
The suspension was great very smooth not too stiff and still cornered fantastic, engine ran flawless (didnt get into it too hard but enough to feel the HP's, love the tried and true S/B chevy), the seats i was worried about (went with the 2lt) but they were fine. Got an automatic and the paddles were neat. I'm a ASE master tech so I drive alot of cars and have seen all the breakdowns you can imagine and was really impressed by how solid the car felt.
The stereo was fine (Alot of negative talk about them but with a small sub it would be awesome)
No rattles to speak of like a few guys talk about.
Its alot smaller/shorter then I thot which is nice because now i can get the wifes car into the garage as well as the club car.
I have driven a ton of sports cars (porche 911 turbo, bmw m5, honda s 2000, rx8, 350z, older vettes etc..) and it compares or exceeds on all levels. The porsche 911 turbo has more in most categories except comfort but the price is way higher (I believe double)
So for what you get you just cant beat it,,,IMO
Only one complaint to speak of so far (and its a minor one) the HUD (which i didnt get) they still have the lines in the dash of where it would go and when the sun hits the dash the glare is right in the line of view, Especially when headed more into the sun. That was a bummer but i will get use to it.
All those haters out there I just dont get it????? The car is fantastic and to complain you would really have to be picky or have a defective part or wrecked car you didnt know about. IMO
Took a quick pic (I plan on getting spider 09 chrome wheels when they come out), thnxs everyone on the site!! your opinions helped me a ton in choosing the options. Good luck, paul

Some problems reported by forum members didn't happen until after they'd had the cars for awhile. I don't think there are as many "haters" as you've implied.

I love mine too. It's a great piece of machinery. A few mods don't hurt either.

I did the same about 3 weeks ago on a 2008. Traded my 2005 6 spd mnl, Z51 on a Mag ride, paddle shift. I was very nervous about doing so because of the economy but decided to do anyway. I love the car (and price) and have no regrets yet.

Congrats on yours!
