My original Goodyear run flats are now at 20400 miles, and by measurement have enough tread left to make it to about 30-33K miles.
I'll easily get past 25K miles in these.

I just got back from the Goodyear dealer. I went there with my '06 Z51 ragtop with 8,800 miles on the clock and absolutely bald F1 EMTs. The dealer quoted me $2,300 for the whole enchilada. When I turned and walked for the door, he sald "let me call Goodyear corporate customer service". Five minutes later, Goodyear corporate customer service authorized a 70% discount. I ended up spending $790 for four tires, mounting, balancing, four wheel alignment and tax.
I don't know if this is common knowledge or not but I was sure surprised.

This post piqued my interest because I am approaching 20k miles and my F1's are nearing the end of their life span. Mind you that I am not hard on my car at all. I know there have been other posts comparing GY to other brands and I am always interested in people's opinions and experiences. Anyway I checked the GY website and for those of you who are dedicated GY consumers, they have a $50 mail-in rebate on a set of 4 (I know, that's chicken feed in the whole scheme of things) and you can make that $100 if you make the purchase on your GY credit card, which they offer 12mo interest free on GY purchases.
That may help make up someone's mind. Anyway, don't flame me I'm just providing information.
Mike
PS is anyone can point me to tire comparison posts I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks for sharing this and hopefully it's a nation-wide policy. I still like the security of GY supercar runflats on the street. I'll remember this when I need to replace them. Thanks again!

You can see the tread left on the rear tires - this was taken 3 weeks ago.

Mine were shot at 10,108... I replaced with Kumho ECSTA..
What happened to you was fantastic! If I had that offered I would have gone with the F1's again...
My C5 GY EMT's were gone at 18,000
I will never consider GY for any of my vehicles...

Or maybe they were concerned that you were going to burn a stack of tires on their front lawn while you stood guard with a "don't buy Goodyear" sign. Years ago a guy set his Lincoln on fire in front of the assembly plant as he picketed the poor quality of his car. I think that was the turn around for quality in American cars.

4 brand new super tires for about 800 bucks is a pretty good deal no matter how you look at it. It seems the norm for these tires is around 10k miles which is pretty lousy! If GY is going stand behind that 25k mileage guarantee I'd consider them again when it's time to replace my NON super tires on my vette.........
