Default NPP Exhaust

I am interested in a set of GM NPP Switchable Exhaust for a C6 (not a Z06) I have a 2006 and understand the 2008 NPP exhaust is a simple swapout. If anyone has a set for sale, please let me know. Thought about going with Corsa's but I prefer to stay with factory exhaust system.

You would be better posting in the parts section. Not an easy find. Also note that the 2009 is claimed not to fit the 2005-2008. Here is what an install looks and sounds like in a 2005. Once you get them I can provide the vacuum control system = NPP in a Box found on www.nakidparts.comNPP

Mufflers waiting for Install

Factory Exhaust Removed

Drilling a ¼” hole in the rear well

Run the Vacuum Tube though the hole

Run the Vacuum tubes through existing frame locations

After dropping the rear sway bar, snake the NPP mufflers up and over

Attach the pipes to the mufflers

Connect the vacuum hoses to the NPP mufflers

Make sure your muffler pipes are straight and level

Muffler hardware done and vacuum tubing run

Connect power cable to the Seat Heater Fuse

And of course, a quick run with Ed's Polishing kit

That's all there is to it.....All that's left is to go out there and have a blast with your new found customized sound.

Here's a link to a video of the sound
Play Video

Ed, once again, THANK YOU!!!![/QUOTE]

You should be able to find NPPs for $650-850 depending on age/condition. I was able to find a set for my 09 (which, as noted, is different) from a forum member. I am pleased with the result.

I just completed the exact same mod you're looking forward to. '08 NPP exhaust on a '06, A6 along with Ed's M2W. Fairly straight forward and the best mod you'll probably do. Be patient and check the Forum For Sales and you'll find a reasonable deal...I did. Good luck!

I too am looking for a set of '09 NPP's. If anyone has a set, please PM me a.s.a.p.

I'm getting the car ready for storage now so I probably wouldn't have a chance to put them on this year, meaning that if anyone gets a set of aftermarkets for Christmas, please keep me in mind.

Obviously, I'd like them to be in as good a condition as possible.

Thanks!

I'll forego the long explanation and simply say go with a quality, after-market exhaust rather than the 'gimmicky' NPP exhaust.

Not sure why you hate NPP, unless you work for the other side . I can honestly say I can't remember anyone posting they did not like NPP and by the lack of ones for sale I would say they are keepers. I agree to each his own when it comes to exhaust sounds but you constantly try to tell people not to get the NPP

I did Magnaflow and HATED the drone. With the Z06 and NPP-IN-A-BOX and M2W, I finally got what I wanted.

I found my Z06 mufflers and over axle pipes on that big auction site for $312 DELIVERED! I know that it was a bit of a gamble but they arrived very quickly and in PRISTINE condition.

jimcattani - there are also some labor charges at your muffler shop to consider, unless you get the regular NPP set AND you can do it yourself as in Ed's tutorial. IMHO it is waaaay worth it. It is the best of both worlds, sound when you want and quiet when you need it. Some say it isn't loud enough so if you like LOUD, it won't be for you.

Check out Ebay Item # 220297287669 for an 09 set (seller is FParts.)

I just purchased and 08 set from them and they included the wireless controller with them.
