Default mp3 not playing in c6

i know this is not the right section. i feel i will get the best ansswers here tho. i can not play mp3 on my nav system. i have an 06, i have heard that the 05 had a problem and its more than likely the same unit but any suggestions on how to fix. is there a firmware update for the 06 that will allow.

I'm guessing you are using home made MP3 discs? If so, you probably need to adjust the way you set up your files. Check this thread and see if it sounds like something you aren't doing. I have a couple others if you need more.

On the 05's the dealers were able to do some type of flash that corrected the static on FM and also , as a side effect allowed the nav CD's to play MP-3 disks.Your problem could be that the MP-3 format you created is not compatible. There is much about this on the Forum in the last 5 years. Do a search.
If you PM me with your address I would be glad to mail you a disk that works in my car so you can do a test.
