I don't understand why some forum members feel the need to call the deceased derogatory names. I guess it makes them feel like a big man.

It was a Z06, judging by the remaining Brakes, Seats, and Deep Wheels.

What a waste of a Z06

Hold on there! Don't be so quick to give up. I'm not really an expert, but I think there's a chance this one can be buffed out and saved.

I wouldn't say it's worth more than a life, but a 22-year old with a previous criminal history doing something that stupid isn't "worth" all that much to me compared to the rest of the population...What would his particular life be "worth" in the scheme of things? I think it's pretty safe to say he had no aspirations of being an upstanding citizen.

22 is too old for the "stupid kid mistake" excuse. Had that guy not offed himself there, he would have continued to be a degenerate piece of garbage.

Yes, but you reap what you sow! Besides it sounds like this guy was a real piece of work! Except for the corvette owner, sounds like poetic justice to me! And yes I'm getting a little opinionated in my older age!

First sensible post on this thread. While I have very little sympathy for criminals, I do realize that he was someones son, brother, husband, father, or friend, and I feel sorry for them.
His parents are planning for a funeral today, and the grief they are experiencing is something I wouldn't wish on anybody.
If he was your son and died stealing , would you be hapopy he was dead?

Glad the criminal got what he deserved, one less thief in the world and no more chances for him to hurt or kill an innocent person.

I feel sorry for the owner of the vette - having a yellow 08 myself I'd lose my mind if someone stole it.

The young stupid kid chose to steal a car ,chose to run from the cops, and thru his ignorance died from it. I love Darwinism

Yes, like you calling the deceased a 'dirt bag', in post # 76. That remark made you feel like a big man.
