...and you're right, Z06 emblems on a C6 are just wrong.
And then you have to put up with a one off set of wheels that only fit a tubbed car where as you can find Z06 offsets everywhere and at a wide variety of prices. Any money you'd save by tubbing would be eaten up by the custom offset wheels.

no offense to the guys who have it... i think it DOES look good a lot of times, but it's right up there with calling Z51 guys 'wannabes' for adding Z06-looking emblems. A bit of a double standard IMO.

The first thing that crosses my mind when I see a wide body is "is that a real Z06... oh, nope". And the removable roof argument only goes so far. It would seem if you can afford a wide body, you should be able to buy a real Z and afford a removable roof or vert conversion? I dunno...

Again, no offense to those who go with it, but unless you've spent your money under the hood first, then wide bodies are "bling." And I'm not saying "bling" is a bad word. Your "bling" is a fake Z06. My "bling" is Lloyd's mats, sticky tack on stuff (tasteful!), Corsa Sports, etc... To each his own, but resale also is something I would consider. After spending money for a wide body, it is still just a base C6. If I want to invest in the look, I'd save for a real Z06.

Plus, there is a lot more to a Z06 than a wide rear-end and big tires.

What shakes your tree, but not for me!

Putting Z06 fenders on a car is not advertising it as a Z. People do it because they can buy genuine GM parts and make their C6 look better. Some do it to accomodate wider wheels and performance, but I believe most do it for looks.

For those who purchased coupes or verts, whats wrong with them putting wider fenders on their car anyway? Is a vert widebody owner really trying to make people think he has a Z06? Any why would anyone care what anyone else on this forum or anywhere else says about what he does with his car anyway? I think the word "poser" is about as dumb as it gets.

As far as Z06 badges...that's just plain stupid to me.
