First totaled Vette in Oman (with PICS)
Sad pictures, the guy gave his car to his friend who btw didn't have a driving license. Coming out of a roundabout, he got a little throttle happy and ended up hitting the curb and the onto a light poll which fell over the car. The car burnt and the engine fell off after putting it on a trailer.

In general, with any sports or high performance car, it's a really bad idea to let a friend "borrow" your car for a ride.
I will let others drive my Vette, but only if I'm in the car with them. Believe me, I speak from experience...none of it good.
This could have had a much worse outcome, given an unlicensed driver in a very high perfromance car. A monetary loss can be recouped, lives can not.

Not really. Dummy gives his car to someone who has no D/L???? If he was lied to or didn't know that's different then, but if he knew his friend had no D/L then.....oh, well. Maybe next time he will give it some thought before handing out his car. I don't care if it's a AMC Pacer, no D/L no driving my car.
